Top Quality Illustrations & Logo Design
When you need vector illustration for logos and corporate identity, instruction manuals, promotional items and even complex scientific illustrations you have come to the right place. I enjoy illustrating in vector graphics because they are widely useful and beneficial.
Vector illustration is the modern version of pen and paper. Sometimes we still use pen and paper to create a design, and then scan the image into the computer. We import the image onto a layer of Adobe Illustrator and use this hand drawn image as a template for tracing with cleaner vector lines. Essentially this takes out the primitive mistakes created by hand drawings. This technique is useful for illustrating corporate icons and cartoons.
If you have a concept or design you can scan it and e-mail the concept drawing to me and I will refine it digitally. I have worked with concepts drawn on a napkin - it does not matter. If the quality is poor or you cannot draw very well, that is no problem. I can more easily visualize what you need when working with a hand drawn concept image, no matter what the quality is.
Expertise In Photoshop
When you need a freelance graphic designer to create fine graphics for print publishing, photo re-touching and image correction you can rely on me. I use Adobe Photoshop to create high end graphics in the proper format for your substrate or application. Your graphics will be crisp and clean once printed.
I use techniques to hide errors in the printing process such misregistration. Using the proper techniques such as chokes and trapping help to reduce these unsightly errors. Another common issue is a white edge found in printed designs which can be prevented using a bleed. Typically the printer will provide templates in order to reduce errors and printing costs. Knowing how to use the templates is essential in print design.
When designing a raster image for web, there are many more tricks to the trade. Using anti-alias settings on shapes can reduce unsightly blurriness and create crisp, professional web images. Web images also need to be saved properly for web and optimized for fast page loading. When you need graphic design for web I can provide your every need.
One popular technique for creating fast loading web images is the use of CSS image sprites. Images on your website are combined into one larger image. This one combined image requires less requests from your web server when a user visits your website. One example website with excellent image sprites is Lapel Pin Design.
